Analysis pages show no data
If Code Intelligence, SOQL Risk, Query Amplification or other analysis pages are empty, the org usually needs a sync, an index, or a full resync. Here's how to tell which.
Overview
Analysis pages don't query Salesforce live. They read MetaLens360's index, which is built from the org's last sync. So an empty or outdated page almost always means one of these:
- The org has never been synced.
- The org was synced but isn't indexed, or the index failed.
- The index is stale — the org synced again after it was indexed.
- The sync stored no source code (for example, Apex bodies are missing), so there's nothing to analyze.
- A page filter hides what you expect — for example, SOQL Risk excludes test classes by default.
Each page says so in its own words:
| Page | What you see |
|---|---|
| Org. Code Intelligence | "<org> has no analysable components indexed." with an Index now button |
| SOQL Risk Intelligence | "No SOQL Data Found" — "Go to Apex Flow Analyzer, select your org, and click Index Org." |
| Query Amplification | "This org has not been indexed yet" with Index This Org Now |
| Performance Health | "Failed to generate report — ensure the org is indexed in Apex Flow Analyzer first" |
| Business Processes | "Failed to load execution tree. Ensure the org is indexed." |
| Apex Flow Analyzer | "No components indexed yet" with Index <org> Now |
| Home | "Indexed but 0 components stored — re-run a full sync." |
Before you start
- Make sure the right org is selected in the page's org picker.
- Running a sync needs
sync.run; indexing needsindex.run. Every built-in role except Viewer has both. If you're a Viewer, ask a teammate.
Steps
- Open Sync Center and find the org. If Last Sync shows Never synced, click Sync Now and wait for it to complete — it indexes automatically afterwards.
- If the org shows Reconnect needed, fix its credentials first: Fix expired org credentials.
- Look at the badge next to Index. If it says Never indexed or "· stale", click Index (or the index button the page itself offers).
- Wait for "Indexing complete for <org>.", then return to the page. Most pages refresh on their own.
- If the page is still empty, or the Home page says "Indexed but 0 components stored", run Force Full Resync for the org. This re-retrieves everything, including Apex source.
- On SOQL Risk Intelligence, check the test-class toggle. Test classes are excluded by default; click it to include them.
Example
Priya opens Query Amplification for acme-uat and sees "This org has not been indexed yet". The Sync Center shows the org synced this morning but the automatic index failed. She clicks Index This Org Now, waits a few minutes, and the page fills in.
FAQs
I just synced — why is the page still empty?
Indexing starts automatically after the sync and takes a few more minutes. If it failed, the badge shows Never indexed or "· stale"; index it manually.
Do I have to index from Apex Flow Analyzer?
No. Some messages mention Apex Flow Analyzer, but every Index button builds the same index for the org.
Why are some classes missing their code?
The sync didn't retrieve their source. A Force Full Resync fixes this.
Troubleshooting
The page shows data, but it's old
The index is stale or the last sync is old. Re-sync the org; it re-indexes automatically.
The org isn't in the page's org picker
The org may not be connected in this workspace. Check Connections.
Indexing finishes but counts are zero
The stored copy is empty. Run Force Full Resync, then check the run in Recent Sync Runs for errors. See Troubleshoot sync failures.
