Sign in and reset your password

Sign in to your MetaLens360 workspace, and reset a forgotten password with a single-use emailed link that expires after 30 minutes.

Updated in Getting started

Overview

You sign in to MetaLens360 with your email address and password. If you forget your password, you can request a reset link by email. The reset flow is designed to be safe:

  • MetaLens360 never reveals whether an email address has an account.
  • Each reset link works once and expires after 30 minutes.
  • Requesting a new link replaces any earlier one.
  • When you set a new password, anyone signed in to your account elsewhere is signed out.

Before you start

  • You need the email address your account uses.
  • To reset a password, you need access to that mailbox.
  • A new password must have at least 10 characters, a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a number.

Steps

  1. Go to the MetaLens360 sign-in page. The card says Welcome back.
  2. Make sure Sign in is selected in the toggle at the top.
  3. Enter your Email address and Password.
  4. Click Sign in. You land on Home.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password? (next to the Password label).
  2. On Reset your password, enter your Email address.
  3. Click Send reset link.
  4. You see Check your email. This message appears whether or not the address has an account β€” that is deliberate, so nobody can use this page to discover who has an account.
  5. Open the email and click the link. Use it within 30 minutes.
  6. On Choose a new password, type your New password. The checklist under the field ticks off each rule as you type: At least 10 characters, A lowercase letter, An uppercase letter, A number.
  7. Type it again in Confirm new password.
  8. Click Set new password.
  9. You see Password changed. Click Sign in and sign in with your new password.

Example

Arjun, a developer, returns from leave and can't remember his password. He clicks Forgot password?, enters his work email and clicks Send reset link. The email arrives a minute later. He opens the link, chooses a new passphrase that ticks all four rules, clicks Set new password, and signs in. His old session on a shared laptop is signed out automatically.

FAQs

Why does it say "Check your email" even for a wrong address?

To protect privacy. If the page said "no account found", anyone could test which email addresses use MetaLens360. If no email arrives, check the address you typed.

No. Each link works once. If you need another, request a fresh link.

Is my password change recorded?

Yes. Reset requests and completed resets are recorded in the workspace audit log that Admins can review. See Audit log and data security.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid email or password. Please try again."

The email or password is wrong, or your account has been deactivated by a workspace Admin. Check for typos and Caps Lock, then try again, or use Forgot password?. If your account was deactivated, ask an Admin to reactivate it.

The reset link is older than 30 minutes, has already been used, or a newer link has replaced it. Click Request a new link and use the newest email.

"Too many reset requests. Try again shortly."

Reset requests are rate-limited to protect your account. Wait a few minutes before trying again.

The reset email never arrives

Wait a few minutes and check your spam or junk folder before requesting another. If it still doesn't arrive, your MetaLens360 environment may not have email configured β€” contact support (see Getting help and support).

"Both passwords must match."

The two password fields are different. Retype the confirmation carefully.
