Overview

MetaLens360 offers help in several places, from fastest to most personal:

  1. Help for this page — the ? in the header shows guides for the page you're on.
  2. Proactive page assistant — a small card that offers help when you seem stuck.
  3. AI assistant — answers questions about your orgs and how to use MetaLens360, citing Help Center articles.
  4. Help Center — every article, public at /help, no sign-in needed.
  5. Support — a message to the MetaLens360 team.

Before you start

Anyone can use all of these. AI-powered answers need an AI provider configured for your workspace (see Configure AI providers); without one, you still get search results.

Steps

Get help for the page you're on

  1. Click ? in the header (tooltip "Help for this page").
  2. Under Guides for this page, open a guide to read it in the panel.
  3. To find something else, type in Search help or ask a question….
  4. Click Ask to get an answer written from Help Center articles, with its Sources listed. If AI isn't available, you get the closest articles instead.
  5. Use Help Center at the bottom to open the full Help Center in a new tab.

Use the proactive page assistant

The assistant appears as a small Page assistant card when you might be stuck — for example, after a few attempts fail ("Having trouble with this?"), when a button doesn't respond ("Not responding?"), when you leave a form unfinished, when you move back and forth between the same pages ("Looking for something?") or on your first visit to a page ("New to this page?").

  1. Read the guide inline, or click Full article.
  2. Click Got it, thanks when you're done.
  3. Click Not on this page to stop it offering help on this page.
  4. Click Turn off to stop proactive help everywhere. The ? in the header still works.

Contact support

  1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar (or your avatar in the header) and choose Support. You can also click Contact support in the ? panel.
  2. In Need help?, choose a topic in What is this about? — for example Something is not working.
  3. Check Your email. This is where the reply goes.
  4. Describe the problem in How can we help? (at least 10 characters).
  5. Click Send message. You see a confirmation that your message is on its way.

Prefer your own inbox? Use the Email Support button in the same dialog. It opens your email app with the subject filled in.

Example

Sam, a developer, is setting up a new comparison and clicks the same disabled button several times. A Page assistant card appears: "Not responding?" It explains that a button often stays inactive until required fields are filled in or an org is selected. Sam picks acme-prod as the target org and carries on. Later, when a sync fails with an unfamiliar error, he opens Support, chooses Something is not working, pastes the error text and clicks Send message.

FAQs

What should I include in a support message?

The page you were on, the org name (for example acme-uat), what you clicked, and the exact error text. Never paste passwords, tokens or SFDX Auth URLs — treat them like passwords.

Is the Help Center available without signing in?

Yes. The Help Center at /help is public, so you can share article links with colleagues who don't have an account yet.

Troubleshooting

"AI answers need an AI provider (Settings → AI Providers)."

Your workspace has no working AI provider yet. You still see the closest articles. An Admin or Architect can set one up — see AI provider not configured.

The Send message button stays disabled

Write at least 10 characters in How can we help? and make sure Your email isn't empty.

"We could not send that."

Messages are limited to five per hour from one network to prevent abuse, and delivery can occasionally fail. Use the Email Support button in the dialog instead.

The Support dialog shows only an email button

Your MetaLens360 environment doesn't have outgoing email set up, so the form is hidden rather than silently losing your message. Use the email button.
