Create a workspace
Sign up for MetaLens360 by creating a private workspace for your team. You become its first Admin and land on the Home page, ready to connect your first Salesforce org.
Overview
A workspace is your team's private, isolated space in MetaLens360. Everything you add — Salesforce org connections, Git repositories, sync schedules, comparisons, AI provider keys and team members — belongs to one workspace, and people in other workspaces can never see it.
When you create a workspace, MetaLens360 does three things at once:
- creates the workspace with the name you choose,
- creates your user account and makes you the workspace's Admin,
- signs you in and opens the Home page.
A welcome email is also sent to the address you signed up with (if your MetaLens360 environment has email set up).
Before you start
- Use your work email address. Each email address can belong to only one MetaLens360 account.
- Pick a workspace name your team will recognize, such as your company or team name. Workspace names must be unique across MetaLens360.
- Choose a password of at least 8 characters.
Steps
- Go to the MetaLens360 sign-in page.
- In the toggle at the top of the card, click Create account. (You can also click Create one next to "Don't have a workspace yet?")
- In Workspace name, type your team or company name. The hint under the field reads "Creates a private, isolated workspace for your team."
- Enter your Email address.
- Enter your First name and Last name.
- Enter a Password of at least 8 characters.
- Click Create workspace.
- You are signed in and taken to Home, which shows "Welcome back" with your first name and an empty state inviting you to connect an org.
Example
Priya, a release manager, wants to evaluate MetaLens360 for her Salesforce team. She clicks Create account, enters Acme Salesforce Team as the workspace name, her work email and a password, and clicks Create workspace. She lands on Home, sees No orgs connected yet, and clicks Add Salesforce Org to connect acme-dev. Later she invites two developers from Settings → Users.
FAQs
Who is the Admin of a new workspace?
You are. The person who creates a workspace is its first Admin, with every permission. You can invite other Admins later; a workspace must always keep at least one active Admin.
Can I rename the workspace later?
Yes. An Admin can change the name in Settings → General under Workspace name. See Workspace settings.
Do I need AI keys to start?
No. You can connect orgs, sync and run comparisons without AI. AI-powered features (insights, explanations and the assistant) need at least one AI provider configured for your workspace. See Configure AI providers.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
An email address belongs to one account, and an account belongs to one workspace. To work in another team's workspace, use a different email address for that invitation.
Troubleshooting
"An account with that email already exists"
That email already has a MetaLens360 account. Switch to Sign in and use it, or click Forgot password? if you don't remember the password. See Sign in and reset your password.
"A workspace with that name already exists"
Workspace names are unique across MetaLens360. Add something distinctive, for example your team or region, and try again.
"Password must be at least 8 characters"
Choose a longer password and click Create workspace again.
"Could not create your workspace. Try a different name or email."
Something prevented the sign-up without a more specific reason. Wait a moment and try again. If it keeps happening, contact support from the public Help Center.
I didn't get a welcome email
The welcome email is a courtesy and never blocks sign-up. Check your spam folder. If your MetaLens360 environment doesn't have email configured, no emails are sent, but your workspace works normally.
